George, a Millcreek resident and repeat ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer, had an issue with his 2013 Ford F-150 radio display. So, George stopped into the store and spoke with our Integration Specialist Doug Reichert. The reason he stopped in was because, George’s radio display screen was pixelated. George could no longer tell what radio station he was on and he could not pair his phone. In fact, he could not even tell if the radio was on. On top of that, George had no sound from the radio as well!
Once George arrived, Doug went out to the F-150 and inspected the defective display. Doug found that the 4.2 inch radio display screen was only illuminating on the very top edge of the screen. So, Doug scheduled George for a proper diagnostic appointment.
2013 F-150 Display Gets Repaired by MECP Technician
Once the F-150 arrived MECP certified technician Kenny Whiteman was tasked with the diagnosis. Ken did an initial inspection. Ken found no damage or cracks in the screen. However, Ken determined the issue to be a defective part. Another shop wanted around $365.00 for a replacement part, but Mike Macaluso, our Operations Manager, had a better solution. Instead of replacing the entire part assembly, Mike and Ken replaced only the specific part required. ENORMIS Mobile Specialties actually stocks these Ford parts and had George’s F-150 repaired the same day. Not only that, ENORMIS was less money than the $365.00 the other shop wanted!
