A Harborcreek resident called us about adding power locks and keyless entry to her friend’s 2017 Jeep Patriot Latitude. The vehicle was a base Patriot had no keyless remotes. Donna called and spoke with Doug Reichert, our integration specialist.
Doug is familiar with the Jeep Patriot since ENORMIS just installed this upgrade on another Patriot a few months ago. He spoke with Donna about her friend’s needs, and suggested that along with the keyless entry, she go with a remote start. Donna’s friend lives in a retirement community and has to park far away from her apartment. She also works at Giant Eagle grocery and has to park far away at work.
Doug had just the solution for Donna’s friend: the Quad two-way remote start and keyless entry bundle. The Quad two-way is our 1/2 mile two-way confirming remote start and keyless entry.
This means that Donna’s friend does not have to guess whether her vehicle is running or if her doors are locked — the remote control will tell her. The Quad two-way has a chime and light confirmation on the master remote.
MECP-certified technicians Art Dougan and Ken Whiteman were tasked with this installation. Art had installed power locks on the last Patriot we handled and Ken usually does the power lock installs on the Wranglers. Their experience helped them complete installing and wiring the five power door lock actuators and remote start in one day.
When Donna came to pick the vehicle, Doug fully explained how everything worked. She was impressed with the simple switch we installed for the locks, as well as the simple operation of the remote start.
