Adam, a Harborcreek resident and longtime ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer, recently purchased a 2020 Ford F-350 XL work truck. The F-350 had most of the features that Adam wanted. But, it did not come with the PowerScope Mirrors. These mirrors are a Trailer Tow, Power Heated Glass/Power Telescoping/Power Fold-away/LED Spot Lights mirror. That’s because, Adam needed the power fold and power telescoping mirrors to pull the truck in and out of his garage. Also because, it’s convenient and safe to Adam when he is towing his work trailer. Now get this, in order to get the truck from Ford with the Powerscope mirrors Adam would have to spend an extra $5,000 to go up to another trim level!
So, prior to purchasing the vehicle Adam called ENORMIS. He then spoke with our Integration Specialist Doug Reichert. Adam asked about adding the mirrors to the XL model, he was getting a great deal on. Doug and operations manager Mike Macaluso did the appropriate research on the vehicle and determined that we were able to add the factory mirror. Not only that, but we were also able to install the factory Ford switches for controlling the mirrors! With that good news, Doug called Adam and said yes! We could add the factory PowerScope Mirrors, and at a 1/3 of the cost of the Ford package upgrade.
2020 Ford F-350 gets a Professional MECP Installation
Because of that, Adam went ahead and purchased the truck at the great deal price while Doug and Mike ordered all the necessary parts. Later, Adam dropped the truck off at our shop for a couple days where MECP Technician Art Dougan performed the installation. After the installation of the OEM parts, Mike performed all the necessary programming on the truck. That was needed in order for the mirrors to work. After running the mirrors through their paces, Doug returned the truck to Adam demonstrating the operation.
