A local GMC dealership had a client interested in a 2020 GMC Terrain on their lot. It was the right size, the right color, and the right price for them. However, the GMC Terrain did not have 2 desirable features that the customer wanted. Those features were a remote start and heated seats!
The customer lives in Kane PA and it can get quite cold there in the winter. So, the Sales Manager called ENORMIS Mobile Specialties. He spoke with Doug Reichert our Integration Specialist about adding the 2 features. Luckily, Doug was able to give Jeff good news!
Doug stated that ENORMIS Mobile Specialties was able to add a factory equivalent remote start using vehicle specific hardware and software! Simply stated, that would allow his customer to remote start the vehicle from the existing GMC Terrain key fobs. Simply pressing the existing lock button 3 times could remote start or stop the vehicle.
Doug further explained, ENORMIS could add heated seats to the vehicle with “better than factory” carbon fiber heated seat pads. Those pads would be installed under the existing upholstery. In addition to the carbon fiber heating pads, the heated seat package came with two individual 6 position control dials. The individual dials allow both the driver and passenger to “dial in” their comfort level of heat. If that wasn’t enough, the dials have a light blue backlighting with a red dial indicator for night time illumination!
2020 GMC Terrain Gets an Experienced MECP Installation
The Sales Manager informed the customer and the customer decided to buy the vehicle once knowing that the features could be added. So, the customer brought the vehicle to the store and dropped it off while visiting Presque Isle for the day. MECP certified technician Art Dougan performed the remote start and heated seat installation efficiently and we returned the vehicle back to the customer the same day.
