Safety and visibility are important to the men and women who work alongside today’s roads. Velocity Network Inc. of Erie, Pa is always expanding their business. Originally an IT and hardware company they have now expanded to a Fiber optic company! That means they will have their trucks on the side of the road installing and servicing many miles of fiber optic lines and they need to be seen!
One of their trucks is a 2017 Ram 1500 truck. ENORMIS permanently installed an amber light bar on the roof and ran the wiring inside the truck. ENORMIS also installed some amber LED warning lights behind the grille and inside the rear
taillight housings. All wiring was soldered and shrink wrapped for reliability. All lights were connected to a light control box mounted at the top of the dash on the truck. ENORMIS did not want a dead battery in this truck, so our tech Ken
Whiteman measured the current draw demand on the truck’s battery. It was found that this light control box was drawing over 40milliamps of current. Because of that, Ken decided to install a master control switch that would completely disconnect all of this wiring from the main battery.
When this truck needs to be put into service it will be ready! If you need the visibility and safety of flashing warning lights on your vehicle or fleet of vehicles just contact us!
We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
