A local Chevy dealership needed a backup camera installed in a 2019 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD dump truck because the customer who was interested in buying the truck made the backup camera an essential part of the deal. This dump truck has a rearview mirror, but you can’t see anything. A rear camera will help.
The 2019 Chevy truck has an existing 7-inch touchscreen. We used that to display the image for the backup camera. We used a heavy-duty reverse camera that will stand up to the rigors of a dump truck. ENORMIS Operations Manager Mike Macaluso programmed the heavy-duty camera to the factory Chevy touchscreen.
MECP-certified technician Art Dougan performed the installation to exact standards. The installation of the camera placement and mounting was important. Art needed to find a location for the camera that would allow the camera good visibility and clearance from the dump bed. The location he chose even allows for camera operation with the dump bed raised, and gives the truck driver a good view of where the load is going be dumped.
The dealership trusted our quality and attention to detail here at ENORMIS Mobile Specialties, and you can, too. Just contact us for your safety and convenience needs.
