Client from Girard Upgrades 2019 Ford F-250 with Two-Way Remote Start

Matt, a Girard resident, called ENORMIS about adding a remote start to his brand-new 2019 Ford F-250. He had just picked up the truck from the dealer and was preparing for winter, and needed a long-distance remote starter that would tell him the vehicle was running. He spoke with Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, and Doug recommended the Ataqan with Factory Start remote starter, a 1/2 mile, two-way confirming long-distance remote start. The Ford remote start from the dealer only has a range of 1,000 feet and that was not far enough for Matt to start his truck reliably.

Doug also explained that with the F-250, ENORMIS is able to install Ford factory wiring connectors and “wake-up” the Ford computer with all the onboard remote start settings.

Matt liked the idea of Ford-specific hardware in his new truck. We tasked MECP-certified technician Art Dougan with the installation. This included installing the remote start module, programming the module to the truck, activating the Ford remote start settings in the instrument cluster and pairing the long-range remotes.

Now Matt has all the convenience of choosing the remote start run time, HVAC settings, etc., from the factory steering wheel controls. An added bonus of the Ataqan is that once the vehicle is running by remote start, the lights on the remote control also serve as a timer to notify Matt when the vehicle will shut off. How cool is that?
