Client Has ENORMIS Add Factory Backup Camera to 2017 Ford F-150

Ken, a Philadelphia resident formerly from Erie, e-mailed ENORMIS about a backup camera for his 2017 Ford F-150. Ken had done some research and saw a post we did in December 2015 about adding the factory backup camera to a 2015 Ford F-150 with the 5-inch display radio. Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, received the e-mail and replied with an estimate to install the factory backup camera and program to Ken’s Ford factory 5-inch screen.

Since Ken is all the way across the state in Philadelphia, we had to plan this upgrade carefully. Doug and Ken corresponded back and forth for about a month, trying to get dates together that would work for both Ken and ENORMIS and finally picked a Friday afternoon before Christmas when Ken was coming home to visit family.

Doug ordered all of the necessary parts and awaited Ken’s arrival. On the Friday afternoon, Ken dropped the vehicle off and went to visit family while MECP-certified technician Ken Whiteman and operations manager Mike Macaluso performed the installation. Ken did a fantastic job with the camera and tailgate handle installation. He also ran the factory camera wiring harness from the radio to the tailgate, while Mike worked on programming the radio to accept the camera.

Since we use only factory parts, Ken can have the camera serviced at any Ford garage if there is ever a need.
