Upon hearing that Enormis Mobile Specialties specializes in electrical issues, this Albion client brought her 2003 Chevrolet 1500HD to us. Her vehicle has a dual climate control system. She was having problems with her climate control system – she could not get heat to come out of the vents on her driver’s side. It was January and it was cold, she needed repair help!
Enormis has lots of experience with Chevy and GMC trucks and their climate control systems. We knew that she loved her truck and was going to keep it for a while, so we recommended replacing all four of the actuators/motors (used for temperature and directing airflow), since we would have to remove the dash to fix her no-heat problem anyhow. We were able to get the climate control system working like new again and at a cost that was much less than she expected.
While we were working on the vehicle, we noticed that lights were out in the gauge cluster. We recommended an in-house cluster rebuild to solve existing and future issues. The speedometer and oil and battery and gas gauges are notorious for acting erratically and failing in these vehicles. Although she declined our Enormis Mobile Specialties in-house GM cluster rebuild at that point, we’re sure we will be doing it in the future.
We also noticed that her front door speakers were not working in the truck. She asked us go ahead and replace the speakers. We were happy to replace them with a set of 6.5 inch Phoenix Gold SX Series speakers to help her enjoy her ride.
