Is your new vehicle missing something? That’s what happened to Gayle when she purchased her new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport. She called our service advisor, Doug Reichert, and asked about adding a keyless entry. Doug explained that we could make the vehicle more secure and more convenient by adding door lock actuators on the two front doors and on the rear door.
And why stop there? Doug explained that while the ENORMIS MECP-certified techs were in the vehicle, they could add a remote starter in addition to the keyless entry.
Gayle thought about it briefly and said it was her birthday and she deserved a remote start!
The Jeep Wrangler ended up in the hands of our technician, Ken Whiteman. Ken installed factory Jeep Wrangler door lock actuators, instead of the cheaper universal aftermarket ones. Ken also installed our latest Quad 2Way v5 remote start and used proprietary Jeep wiring harnesses and connectors. Yep, most of this remote start installation literally plugs into the Jeep wiring. Ken also soldered, taped and organized the wire harnesses
and lock relay packs.
This remote start will notify Gayle from over 1/2 mile away if the vehicle has actually started by beeping and flashing a light on the remote control.
When Gayle came in to collect her Jeep, Doug surprised her with a birthday cake. Yes, he really did! Then he went outside with her and explained how to use the new remote start/keyless entry system. She gave Doug a big hug and drove off under a cloudy gray March sky.
