A lifelong resident of Erie, PA, and a repeat client of ENORMIS Mobile Specialties purchased a new push-to start-version of the Subaru 2018 Legacy. He stopped by ENORMIS before he purchased his Subaru Legacy to talk to our product specialist Tony Horton because he wanted to make sure the installation was “good to go.”
He chose our mini 2-way v4 remote car starter. We configured the system to also activate the door locks instead of being “just” a remote start. (Conditions do apply; this remote start system may not operate the locks on all vehicles.) The Subaru key fob stays fully active once the remote start has started the vehicle. The Subaru proximity handle stays active and the remote start locks doors on start and shutoff.
When the client wants to drive the vehicle after remote starting it, the engine keeps running when he steps on the brake and he drives away. (All vehicle systems are different – sometimes the vehicle engine will shut off when you open the door while the vehicle is in a remote start status.)
The two-way remote control on this system will notify the user with flashing lights and making a beeping noise if the Subaru is outside and running.
