Andrea, an Erie, PA, resident and first-time ENORMIS Mobile Specialties client, was interested in a high-quality remote start for her 2015 Audi Q5. Andrea sent an e-mail request through ENORMIS.net two days before Christmas. Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, responded to Andrea with all the options for her Audi.
Andrea selected the OE Factory Start v5 with Drone Mobile Smartphone App. This will allow Andrea to start the vehicle from short distances by pressing the lock button on her Audi key fob three times and long distance from the Drone Mobile smartphone app. This was a perfect combination for Andrea, who parks right outside the front window at home, but may have to park a couple of blocks away from her office at work.
This 2015 Q5 requires an Audi-specific remote start wiring harnesses to get the full function of the remote start. Guess what? We had it in stock. MECP-certified technician Chris Brown was tasked with the installation. Chris used the Audi-specific remote start wiring and was able to complete the installation that same afternoon.
The Audi-specific remote start hardware also gives Andrea pre-programmable HVAC and heated mirror controls. *Check this out: If the temperature is below 38 degrees and Andrea uses the remote start, the heated mirrors and front and rear defrost and heated seats will turn on automatically. Technology is so cool! When Andrea starts the Audi normally by using the push button in the vehicle, the HVAC controls will come on at wherever Andrea had them set when she last exited the vehicle. *This feature is NOT available in all Audi installations.
We were happy to help Andrea fulfill her Christmas wish in 2018!
