What do you do when your Erie-area towing business has an F-550 in the fleet that refuses to start? You call Erie’s electrical experts, of course! An East Erie company called us at ENORMIS for help with their 2012 Ford F-550 diesel flatbed truck.
It would not start and there was no communication with the computer modules in the truck. We couldn’t even hook up our Ford computer to scan for error codes. What would some shops do? They would guess. That’s right – they would start
installing new parts in the hopes of making the problem go away. ENORMIS does not guess!
Using our schematics, computer diagrams and brains, we located a faulty splice point for the module communication CAN-network. We removed the corroded and faulty splice point and installed a new splice point. Our repair work re-established the CAN-bus communication network. All the truck’s computers were once again communicating with each other. We had the vehicle back to them the same day and it was ready to use for work over the weekend.
If you need an automotive electrical expert, who doesn’t give “guesstimates” and will actually fix your vehicle, contact us. We are located just a little east of Erie, PA, in the great town of Harborcreek, PA.
We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
