Dianne, a Harborcreek resident and first-time ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer, had a backup camera that would not work. She was talking to some friends about the issue and Friend #1 said, “Just go to the dealer — they are the only ones who can fix it.” Friend #2 said, “Go to ENORMIS — they can fix anything electrical and they will probably be less expensive.” Thanks, Friend #2!
Dianne has a 2013 Honda CRV with a factory-installed backup camera and every time she would put the vehicle into reverse, only a black screen with parking lines would appear. Dianne decided to stop by our store. Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, spoke with Dianne about her issue and went out to the vehicle to see exactly what was going on. Doug and Diane discussed options and put together a worst-case scenario price.
Doug scheduled Dianne to drop her vehicle off for a diagnostic appointment where one of our MECP-certified technicians would diagnose the fault with the camera. Doug pre-ordered a most-likely-to-fail part and had it waiting for Dianne’s appointment date. MECP-certified technician Ken Whiteman identified the failed part and replaced it the same day. ENORMIS was able to restore the image to Dianne’s backup camera and returned the vehicle to her later that afternoon.
When all was said and done, the repair was $100 less than what the dealer quoted her and done much sooner. As Dianne put it, she can’t live without her backup camera. Thank you, Dianne, we’re glad ENORMIS could help.
