Ford F-150 Remote Starter and Radio For North East Client

This 2005 F-150 is going to be Dennis’s winter ride, so he stopped in to check out what we could offer for remote starts. This North East, PA, resident recently purchased his 2005 Ford F-150 in “cherry condition.” Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, greeted Dennis and showed him all of his options. Dennis selected our Citimat 1-way long-range four-button remote, which allows Dennis to lock, unlock and start the vehicle from one remote. His Ford remote that came with the vehicle can go in a drawer as a spare, or hang by the kitchen door — no need to carry two remotes.

While in the store, Dennis mentioned that the vehicle came with a six-disc CD player, but would not accept CDs, and that it had no Bluetooth or USB. He inquired about repairing the six-disc CD changer. ENORMIS is familiar with these CD  players and told Dennis it would probably not be cost-effective to repair a 13-year-old stereo and it would be prone to future failure. When Doug asked Dennis what he was looking for in a radio, Dennis mentioned that he goes to Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh quite often for doctors’ appointments.

Doug showed Dennis a Kenwood DNX 574s navigation, CD player, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto radio. Dennis also just purchased a new iPhone, so when Doug demonstrated what Dennis could do with the Apple Carplay in his truck, he fell in love.

Our MECP-certified technician Arthur Dougan did a masterful job with the installation of the Maestro Steering Wheel Controls, the addition of a USB port and the radio install. Art chose the center console for the USB port, so there were no obvious additions to the truck on the dashboard. Now Dennis can plug his iPhone into the USB port to charge his phone, while receiving spoken text messages and speaking text messages to Siri.

The KENWOOD will allow Dennis to save his doctors’ office addresses and recall them when he is on the road. The exit services will let Dennis to merge to the correct lane, so no more missed exits. Dennis can also use WAZE to alert him to upcoming traffic stops and find all the interesting attractions. Dennis was so impressed upon delivery, he decided to purchase another Kenwood Navigation for his wife’s Ford Escape.
