What do you do when you inherit your father’s low-mileage 2004 Ford F-250 and you plan on driving it in the winter, but you miss the creature comforts of your car? That was the dilemma of this North East, PA, resident and first-time ENORMIS client. He called and spoke with advisor Doug Reichert about adding power windows and locks with keyless entry.
This client was concerned about adding anything to a truck 14 years old, but the truck only had 42,000 miles on it. Doug said sure we could. ENORMIS located and priced Ford original equipment door lock actuators, power window regulators and motors. We also installed a reliable aftermarket power window switch kit. These switches cover the hole in the door panel left by the old crank-style window handles.
Bonus: The power window switch pods are on accessory power, so they light up at night for ease of use.
Along with the keyless entry, this client elected to add a remote start to the truck — but it isn’t just any remote start. He settled on the Citamat 1-way system. He has lock, unlock and start on the remotes. The Citamat will even start the vehicle from up to 3,000 feet away — over a 1/2 mile. Perfect for those 10-degreee mornings before plowing.
Before he left, Doug showed him all the operations of his newly installed electronics.
