A Harborcreek, PA, resident stopped in one afternoon and said there was a CD stuck in her 2013 Lincoln Navigator’s CD player. She called the Lincoln dealer and they said they don’t do CD players or radios. She could not get the CD out and the player kept making grinding sounds after she turned off the vehicle.
Service advisor Doug and technician Kenny were happy to help. Kenny verified that the CD was stuck and the CD player continuously tried to eject the CD, but at this point, the touchscreen on the radio would not even turn on and no music would play, even through the radio.
It gets worse: The CD player was trying to eject the CD, even when the ignition was off! This would eventually drain her battery, so Kenny quickly disconnected the touchscreen radio from the vehicle.
Doug made a few phone calls and was able to obtain a Lincoln factory replacement radio for the vehicle. The customer gave the OK to order the radio for her Lincoln. On the day of the installation, Kenny handled all of the programming for the radio to the vehicle, as well as the GPS navigation. Doug transferred her satellite radio subscription and helped her re-program her radio channel pre-sets and navigation addresses.
