Kia Sorento SiriusXM Upgrade for Sherman, NY, Political Radio Enthusiast

Now you see it, now you don’t – a repeat ENORMIS client and Sherman, NY, resident called ENORMIS from the car dealership while purchasing her new Kia. The 2019 Sorento she was buying does not come with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and the factory could not add it. What? 2019 and no satellite radio? Yep – and ENORMIS to the rescue.

Karen only listens to political radio, and the best way to listen is on Sirius XM. Our advisor Doug did some quick research and made a few phone calls, and determined that there is no factory-original way to add satellite radio to the existing radio. We offered the only and best solution we had: a standalone Sirius SAT radio receiver that we could add to the vehicle AUX input.

Our MECP-certified technician Arthur Dougan went over all the installation options with the customer. He did an expert installation by mounting the radio unit into the front storage compartment and hiding all the wires. It wasn’t easy, but Art installed the sat radio into the storage compartment. Guess what? Close the lid and it’s all hidden!

Karen was delighted by the appearance and glad not to have a radio module mounted to her dashboard.
