An Erie Chevy Truck dealership wanted to add heated seats to a 2018 Chevy Silverado LT Z71. The truck is already pretty loaded, with an 8″ touchscreen radio and remote start, but their client wanted heated seats as well. To get heated seats from Chevy, their customer had to go a higher trim package and add approximately $3,000 to the price tag! That package came with a lot of extra features that the customer did not want. He just wanted heated seats.
Joe contacted our product and integration specialist Doug Reichert and the dealership dropped the truck off later that day. MECP-certified technicians Art Dougan and Ken Whiteman removed the seats, then the cloth seat covers, and performed the installation. They attached the carbon-fiber heated seat pads, ran all the wiring and installed the cool switches. Art and Kenny even went the extra mile so the precise heated seat dial placement looks like it came with the truck. The heated seats will even come on with the factory remote start.
We were able to turn the truck back to the dealer in one day, so they could deliver it to the customer that weekend.
