Remote starters … yes, we do a lot of them, but sometimes we get special requests. Greg, from the town of North East, PA, asked if we could install a remote starter since his wife was not starting his truck like she promised on cold mornings. Why, yes, we could install a remote start in a 2015 F-150.
He asked one more thing: “Can you guys do it all with OE factory Ford parts?” Well. maybe – our Operations Manager had to actually think about that one, but the answer is yes, we can install a Ford OE factory remote start on a 2015 F-150.
Because of that question we now have something else to offer our clients. We won’t bore you with the details, but we were able to get F-150 remote controls and other Ford parts, and install and program these parts to the F-150 computer system.
This is not just some simple Ford remote start, either – it’s a two-way Ford remote start system. Say what? Yep, the remote control will flash a green light if the truck actually receives a remote start signal. Say again? For example, you are in a building where you cannot see your truck and you want to know if it actually got your signal. If it did, the remote will flash a green light. If the F-150 did not get your signal, a red light will flash. Pretty cool, huh? We thought so.
