The screen in the dash of a Dodge Charger had been splintered by water bottle that went flying during a hard stop. Today’s vehicles sure are different than they used to be. In fact, the screen in the dash of his 2017 Dodge Charger is important because it operates the heat/AC, navigation, radio etc. Our client Brian, is a Waterford resident and his son owns the Charger. They, first called the place where he purchased the vehicle and was quoted more than $1,700 for a new screen! So, he wanted a second opinion.
Brian called our store to inquire about repairing the broken 8.4 LCD infotainment screen on the 2017 Dodge Charger SXT. He spoke with our Specialist Doug Reichert about the issue. The radio still worked, but the display was black. Therefore the navigation, climate controls and any other settings could not be accessed through the screen. You need that screen!
Certified MECP Tech Works on 2017 Charger Screen
Doug asked Brian to bring the vehicle to the store for an inspection of the issue. MECP-certified technician Art Dougan removed the 8.4″ LCD screen, assessed the situation, and talked to our Operations Manager, Mike. Mike was able obtain specific parts direct from the manufacturer of the infotainment system.
Mike ordered the new parts, and Art installed them when Brian brought the Dodge Charger SXT back. After confirming that the infotainment system worked like new, Art re-assembled the vehicle. Doug called Brian and told him the good news. All is good and for a lot less money. If Brian hadn’t questioned the original pricing, he would have paid $1,000 more than he ended up paying ENORMIS.
If something that cracks the screen in the dash of your vehicle, call the Electrical Pros at ENORMIS Mobile Specialties.
