Alice, a Cambridge Springs resident, was having an issue with her 2006 Ford Taurus. As she would drive down the road, her headlights would completely quit, along with the interior instrument cluster lights, radio lighting and heater controls. Alice took the vehicle to her local garage, but they were not able to find the issue. Most mechanics are not electrical experts. Her garage recommended Erie’s Automotive Electrical EXPERTS at ENORMIS Mobile Specialties.
John from the garage called and spoke with Doug Reichert, who gladly scheduled the Taurus and assured John that ENORMIS would take good care of his customer. Alice dropped off the vehicle and left it for a day or so we could diagnose the electrical issue properly.
Our MECP-certified technician Art Dougan diagnosed the vehicle. Within a few hours, he had the vehicle not only diagnosed, but repaired as well. He found that the car had no power to a main circuit that supplies power to the headlights, radio, instrument cluster and various other components. From there, Art was able to back-trace the wiring harness to several corroded and broken wires in the front wiring harness of the vehicle. At some point, the wiring harness has been routed improperly and it was rubbing on a metal bracket, which was wearing through the plastic protector around it. Art removed the broken and corroded wires, installed new wiring in their place, and then soldered and heat-shrank his connections to ensure safe and secure connections.
For less than $200, Alice had her Ford electrical issues repaired in hours, not days. Electrical problems on your car? No guessing, and no wasted money and time, at ENORMIS. Don’t throw your money away on unneeded parts and guesses. Contact ENORMIS Mobile Specialties first.
