Repeat Erie Customer Gets 2018 Ram 2500 Ready for Winter

Kate, an Erie, PA, businessperson and repeat ENORMIS Mobile Specialties customer, had just purchased a 2018 RAM 2500 as her business truck. As she was leaving the dealership, she called our store and spoke with Doug Reichert about adding a remote start and heated seats to the vehicle. Doug said, “Sure, we can do that, what kind of time do you have?” Kate said she was already on the way to ENORMIS and was going to drop off the vehicle for a few days while she was out of town.

Kate came into the store and Doug demonstrated the remote starters for her. She did not need a super-long-range remote starter. Doug suggested the Factory Start v5 with the optional .3 mile extended-range remote controls. This remote start uses Ram-specific custom wiring and software for a smooth installation and performance.

Doug and Kate also discussed placement of the heated seat switch. Kate wanted the heated seat to look like it came with the truck. Doug showed Kate the switch for the heated seat and the included chrome trim ring. As a bonus, the switch’s blue back-lighting matched the existing Ram knobs for the heater control almost exactly.

While in the store, Kate noticed that we are a WeatherTech dealer, and ordered a set of digital-cut floor mats as well. Doug ordered the WeatherTech mats the same day and had them delivered before Kate picked up the truck. MECP-Certified technicians Art Dougan and Ken Whiteman were assigned the installation. Art performed the remote start installation while Ken did the heated seats to expedite the installation for Kate.
