What happens when you buy a vehicle that’s economical for your business but might be missing some safety and convenience features? You call ENORMIS Mobile Specialties, just outside Erie, PA. That’s what Hazlett Tree Service in Townville, PA, did. They do not like to cut corners. They pay attention to the details, and safety is part of the details.
This 2017 Jeep Renegade was missing a rear vision camera and hands-free Bluetooth. ENORMIS knew the JVC KWV340BT would solve these issues, but just adding this JVC unit would not be enough in a 2017 Renegade. ENORMIS also installed a web-programmable multimedia replacement interface, which allows the JVC unit to communicate properly and safely with all the Jeep electronics. Because of this interface, the JVC unit will even display information from the factory Jeep computer.
What kind of information, you ask? It can display tire pressure from each tire, for starters. The interface also takes the information from the JVC unit and displays it on the screen in front of the driver. How cool is that? It’s pretty cool.
Can you use the steering wheel buttons to control the JVC unit? Yes, of course you can. The factory USB connector also works as it should.
ENORMIS also installed a rear camera on the back of the Renegade. You can’t see it? It’s there. This camera displays a large, clear image for the driver. We also discreetly installed a microphone to allow hands-free calling.
