Adam, was a recent Pittsburgh resident and came to the Erie, Pa area. Because he was coming to Erie, he wanted to prepare for his first “lake effect” winter! So, a remote start for his 2018 Subaru Impreza WRX was on the agenda. For more info, he used our online remote start inquiry form to submit a contact request. He said, ” I’d like a remote starter for my car preferably on the same key fob if possible. My work requires me to park about 100 yards away”.
2018 Impreza Remote Start Gives the Distance and Feedback Needed
Doug Reichert, our integration specialist, received the request. In response, Doug quickly replied to Adam’s email. Adam wanted to remote start the Impreza with his existing key fob. ENORMIS can do that. But, Doug recommended that Adam choose our Mini 2-Way.6 Remote Start. That’s because, Adam parks quite a distance away from the office. The factory key fob option would have limited Adam to a distance of approximately 75 feet. But, but for approximately $90 more, Adam could get a 1/2 mile range remote start. Furthermore, it would let him know that the vehicle actually started. That’s right! The two-way remote will flash lights and beep to let him know the vehicle is warming up and melting the snow and ice.
Subaru gets an MECP Installed Remote Start
A few emails later, Adam was ready to schedule an installation. So, he arranged to drop the vehicle off at the store before he went to work. After that, MECP-certified technician Art Dougan was assigned the installation. Art had the vehicle completed in plenty of time. Because, Adam gets out of work around 3 p.m. Doug was happy to demonstrate the remote start with Adam upon pickup. After that, Adam left and was ready for the “lake effect” snow! But, Adam emailed Doug again. Because, Adam had to say how much he loves the two-way feature of the remote start!
